Reductil (sibutramine) can be used by people suffering from obesity. It is supposed to be combined with a reduced-calorie diet for best effects. You will be supposed to keep to a certain way of eating and exercising to make sure you are benefitting from the treatment. It's also very important to discuss all the aspects of your treatment with your doctor in advance – if you are allergic to sibutramine or are currently pregnant, taking it may not be the best idea. Such medical conditions as congestive heart failure, Parkinson's disease, migraine headaches, gallstones, bleeding problems, cancer, any eating disorder, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, kidney, liver, or thyroid disease, irregular heart beat, glaucoma, and a history of stroke or heart attack may require additional monitoring of your condition for side effects. Reductil can cause side effects, although serious ones are quite rare. The following mild side effects are ore likely to be experienced (and they do not need to be reported as they tend to be short-lived): flushing, change in appetite, runny nose, headache, nervousness, flu-like symptoms, weakness, heartburn, dry mouth, back pain, and constipation.
